Because our yachts are built in Xiamen, we have a huge advantage by having extremely highly skilled, highly educated apprentice trained craftsmen at our disposal with lower labour rates than Europe or the USA. We therefore invest many, many more man hours into each yacht than other builders are able to do. Between 20,000 and 40,000 hours are devoted to the construction of an average custom-built Passport Vista, this represents approximately 30% to 35% more than our competitors' do. All of this extra labour is reflected in Passport's legendary attention to detail....a much over used phrase....but in this case very true and reflected throughout in the absolute breathtaking quality of the carpentry and ship's systems.

All Passport Yachts are built at our high-tech, modern facility in Xiamen;

Passport DO NOT subcontract any part of the construction to other factories. This means we stay hands-on and keep control of each manufacturing step. Our facility is huge, state-of-the-art and unparalleled in the sailboat world. Over 600 highly-skilled personnel at the factory take pride in the art of boat building, from engineering, fiberglass, electrical, plumbing, custom stainless steel work to carpentry. every aspect of the construction of the yacht takes place at our factory, nothing is left to chance.

All materials used for the build of all Passport's  are sourced outside China and are container shipped directly to our factory. Every stage of the build from initial hull lay-up to final launch are monitored by Passport Yachts resident quality controll staff led by Graham Bowes, Passport Yachts chief engineer. All stages of production are continually checked and re-checked, until a final pre-delivery examination is carried out to ensure all systems are fully operational prior to issuance of builders certificate and shipping.

Passport Yachts offer a full 10 year hull warranty on all models, there is a very good reason for this...."because we can".... very few others can claim the same.

         

It is important to remember, that one has to be extremely confident of the build quality of your product to offer a 10 year hull warranty. At Passport Yachts Europe......we are and we do !
