The Passport Yacht Charter Lease program has been designed for those sailors who wish to sail a yacht with all the pride of ownership but without all the issues that comes with ownership.
The boat's time is divided into 2 "Slots" per day.
A 9 hour daytime slot.
A 15 hr evening/overnight slot.
Each member is credited with a minimum 28 slots at the start of the season to be used individually or as a block of up to 12 slots for an extended sailing adventure.
Additionally, if a particular slot is not booked by anyone within a specified time window, it can be booked as a "Spontaneous" slot for free!
If your schedule changes after you have booked slots, you can offer those slots up to other members via the scheduler (subject to limitations). To insure that those days during the season that are extra special to you are yours. You select 4 "Personal" days when you sign up.
The Passport Yacht Charter Lease 2012 sailing season commences on the 28th April and closes on the weekend of the 7th October. There is no availablity between 10th September to the 28th September.
All maintenance is taken care of by Passport Yacht CharterLease - after a sail you just re-fuel and top up the water tanks, wash the boat down, check out with the onboard computer and go home!
