SPIRIT is a US Coast Guard Documented Vessel that has been very well maintained by her

experienced sailor/cruiser owners and top-shelf boat yards. She is one if the most nicely-equipped and

upgraded Passport 40s we have ever seen. SPIRIT is one of the few shoal-draft Passport 40s made

and has the most sought after cabin, berth, and nav station arrangements. She is ready for your

coastal or offshore long-term cruising pleasure.

Accommodations

MASTER STATEROOM: The large forward stateroom features a V-berth with offset chair with filler,

converts to king-wide berth (at head) that is easy to get into and just as easy to make up. Includes

storage below the V-berth with two large compartments. One large hanging locker. Closed storage on

both sides over berth, as well as open space for books, etc. Large hatch, mushroom vent, and 2

opening bronze ports (with new UV glass 2009) for excellent ventilation and light. Access to anchor

locker and windlass through forward cabin. 2 new brass reading lights installed 2010.

HEAD: Next aft to port is the head compartment with hot and cold pressure water, marble vanity,

separate shower stall with teak seating, and abundant drawer and locker storage; opposite to

starboard is a large hanging locker.

MAIN SALOON: The U-shaped dinette features a large, removable teak table. To starboard is a

straight settee and end table forward with liquor locker. Settees are covered in Jade Green

Ultra-Suede fabric in like-new condition and include 4 large Ultra-Suede soft pillows. There is storage

behind the settees as well as bookshelves and closed cabinets outboard of the settees. Built-in

Panasonic TV with digital converter on starboard side, forward of chart table. (TV/FM antenna with

pre-amp mounted near top of mast.) JVC CD player/receiver with 110 watt power amplifier and

volume controls for main saloon and cockpit. Speakers are Nakimichi in saloon and Sony in cockpit.

Nav station is forward facing to starboard of the galley with abundant chart and equipment storage.

(Engine under galley counter.) Large hatch over center of cabin and fixed windows on both sides. 1

opening port located over hanging locker opposite head, and 1 opening port over nav station, 2

opening ports in galley, as well as a small ventilation hatch. All windows and bronze ports have new

UV, shatterproof glass installed 2009.

AFT GUEST CABIN: The aft cabin features a double size berth and is ideal for guests or as a sea

berth when cruising. It has a night stand with 2 drawer storage and hanging wet locker outboard.

There are 3 opening bronze ports with same UV glass upgrades listed above.

SPIRIT  has the classic Passport solid teak interior with teak and holly cabin sole, excellent ventilation

with 10 opening bronze ports, 4 deck hatches, 5 s/s dorade vents, mushroom vent forward, and 12 v

oscillating cabin fans in all 3 cabins.

Galley

U-shaped large galley to port. Counter tops are cream/white tile with charcoal grout and teak

surround. Abundant drawer, locker, and large dry bin storage.

Force 10 2 burner stove with oven/broiler.

SeaFrost #DC5000 12 v refrigeration w/3 holding plates. Top and lower door access to

refrigerator and top door access to freezer compartment. (Freezer will make ice.)

Two 20# aluminum propane tanks in cockpit locker.

Double stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressure water. (New faucet installed 2010.)

Built-in GE microwave oven.

Puradyne external oil filtration system allows 500 hours between Rotella T 10W- 40 oil

changes. (System burns off impurities. Used extensively by Oldport Marine of Newport, RI

on all of their tour boats and launches. Oldport Marine is also the biggest Yanmar repower

dealer on the east coast and did a superb job of installing the new engine on SPIRIT &.

including new, glassed-in engine bed for correct alignment.)

External Racor Dual (Selectable) fuel filter system. Same system as used on larger trawlers.

for summer  paneled, zip-in in very good condition. Beige cockpit cushions (covers new 2009).

45# Plow anchor w/ stainless steel swivel connector and 150' 3/8  HT chain, 150 feet 5/8 

nylon.

Custom stainless steel guard plate added to bow stem.

Foldable Bubble  back-up anchor with 150' 1/2  nylon stowed under cockpit aft starboard

locker.
